Our Story
Building skills since 1978
TESDA Regional Training Center – CALABARZON (RTC-CALABARZON) has a rich history of providing market-driven technical job skills and training since 1978. This long-standing commitment earned the Center recognition as a finalist in the Best Training Institution – Regional/Specialized Training Center Category at the 2021 TESDA Organizational Excellence Awards and as Best Training Institution in the same category at the 2022 TESDA Organizational Excellence Awards.
These achievements helped shape the 2024–2028 Institutional Development Plan, a five-year roadmap grounded in a thorough analysis of the planning environment. The plan builds on RTC-CALABARZON’s skilled workforce, modern facilities, and sound financial management to pursue its vision of becoming a Polytechnic Institute that produces competent and employment-ready graduates. It outlines clear objectives, strategies, and activities to optimize investments and resource allocation over the next five years.
Recognizing the transformative impact of rapid industrial growth, RTC-CALABARZON continues to evolve its training delivery and services through innovative, technology-driven programs, including Green Technology offerings. Using a competency-based approach, the Center is committed to five key goals: producing 10,000 competent and employment-ready graduates, strengthening human resource development, harmonizing organizational management and governance with its vision and mission, implementing sustainable practices across the organization, and establishing an Innovation Center.
Within its available resources, the Center also fosters an entrepreneurial culture and a strong focus on self-sufficiency. Through collaboration with stakeholders and full implementation of its Quality Management System, RTC-CALABARZON aims to expand its STAR-rated programs and achieve APACC and ISO accreditation in the coming years, in line with its institutional vision, mission, goals, and values.
